Dustbin Doris’ by Rhubarb Theatre – A dustbin, a homeless lady and an extraordinary tale of courage! It’s bin day, and waste collectors Ola and Max are racing to make up lost time. But what’s this? A dustbin that refuses to give up its contents? What could be attached? It’s Dotty Doris, who lives in the park. A struggle follows as she clings on to her possessions. When the refuse loaders realise that one woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure, an amazing trove of wondrous things recycle their way out of the rubbish.

Rhubarb Theatre has created a ‘kaleidoscope of visual fantasy’ in a show that is ‘funny and inventive storytelling from start to finish’, according to audience critics. There is joy and sadness, laughter and tears, with surprises round every corner.
Rhubarb are well known for their imaginative style of story-telling. There will be play, puppetry, mask, dance, songs and lots of laughter, with a strong environmental theme.

Friends of Dereham Memorial Hall are delighted to welcome this terrific company to Dereham thanks to Creative Arts East, as they travel on tour to perform at the Isle of Wight Puppet Festival.

Please note that we have been asked not to market the show to the under 5's, because the play includes masks.
